The challenged
Behaviourally and emotionally challenged
- These are people who behave in a strange way, different from what is usual or expected.
- Sometimes they do strange things like talk to themselves or say they can see things that are not there.
- People may become behaviourally and emotionally disturbed after an accident that caused brain damage.
- Other causes are abuse of drugs, sickness, extreme torture or mistreatment, frustration or the death of a loved one.
- Sometimes people with this kind of challenge can be violent and may hurt others or themselves.
How can we help them?
- We need to love and accept them.
- We should not provoke them to anger.
- We should pray for them.
- Our teachers and parents can guide us on how to assist them.
