What is last supper?
The Last Supper is the final meal that Jesus shared with his disciples in Jerusalem before his crucifixion.
Jesus Christ was an Israelite since He was born to Jewish parents. He therefore celebrated the Passover. Jesus and His disciples shared a meal of unleavened bread and wine which He called the last supper. The last supper was shared on the eve of the Passover.
What did Jesus do during the last supper?
Read Luke 22:17 - 19
17 Then Jesus took a cup, gave thanks to God, and said,“Take this and share it among yourselves. 18 tell you that from now on I will not drink this wine until the Kingdom of God comes.” 19 Then he took a piece of bread, gave thanks to God, broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in memory of me.”

What did Jesus say during the Last Supper?

Why do Christians celebrate the Last Supper today?
- Show their belief in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection.
- Remember the suffering and death of Jesus Christ.
- Show obedience to Jesus Christ who commanded people to be celebrating it.
- Remind themselves of the great love of God to man.
- Remember the great sacrifice that Jesus Christ made by accepting to die on the cross for their sins to be forgiven.
