The East African Community (EAC) is an inter-governmental organisation composed of six countries in eastern Africa: Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.

Formation of EAC
First formed in 1967 by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. It broke up in 1977. EAC was started again in 2000. Headquarters are in Arusha, Tanzania.
